Out of all of your favorite books, pick just one you'd recommend everyone read. As a bonus: why did you pick that one?

Back to the land of clean!!!

Dirty oh so dirty
Camping was so great!!! We had an awesome weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful for the first time. It didn't even look like rain until this morning!! The kids were GROSS by the end of the first day. I think they ate their pound of dirt this weekend. Especially Lydia. She loved it. She loved the dirt and the kids and everything. Well that's a lie she didn't like the sleeping so much. But who sleeps when you camp. It really wasn't that bad with 5 kids. It just keeps getting easier. I can't wait until they are older and don't really need us. They I will long for the days when they hung out w/ us and we had to tend to them.

Now I can fully concentrate on what is happening next RENT!!!!!  I got home today and I was just thinking about this week and what I had to do and I got to Saturday and thought "I am going to see RENT on Broadway!!!!!"  I can't believe it.  I am so excited.  What do you wear to a broadway show?  I always dress up for a show I only assume you dress up.  But I don't want to look like a nut!

Where did everyone go?
I have been home 3 days this week w/ sick kids or being sick or just b/c of the rain!!  AUGH!!! I am beginning to hate this house.  LOL Who am I kidding I already hate this house.  We are starting to look for a house or a condo/townhouse.  I can't wait to have a larger place.  We found a great place the first day out w/ an absolutely fabulous kitchen and GREAT bathroom!!!  But it was the first one we saw and a little on the high side for us.
It has now taken me 4 hours to write this!!!  That is ridiculous and it is a pathetic post.

Better than expected

So we had a better party than we thought we would.  Jason's parents are still strange as ever.    Davis had lots of fun and his cake was FABULOUS, thanks to Dawn.  Everyone wanted to eat the whole ear!!   Mother's day was also great.  We went to Canobie Lake Park and the boys were able to go on all sorts of rides.  They had a blast and I had fun just watching them, oh and not being pregnant and actually being able to go on some rides myself!!

IKEA

Drove to IKEA today to buy a bed for the boys.  Came home w/ bed and an entertainment center.  Bed is great and looks awesome in the boys room.  Entertainment center looks great w/ the tv on a stand in front of it b/c neither one of us realized the entertainment center was made for a flat screen that is less than 14 inches in depth.  Our tv is an old tube tv w/ a really large back side.  (It's a hand me down)  So now we are either going to cut a hole in the back or go buy a new tv.  Yay for tax money.

Did I mention I am having people over in the a.m. and our house is a disaster and it is 1:30 in the morning?

Not that this will be an everyday occurance but, DAVIS WENT PEEPEE IN THE POTTY!!!! He is really only 20 months old and the class he is in at school all of the other kids are potty training and DJ does it so he is very interested. He was so cute. He climbed the gate to the bathroom and pulled his diaper off and tried to sit. Then he really went!!! It would be so nice if he was out of diapers 2 at the same time isn't fun.

Happy New Year everyone!!

Lara you and I need to post a lot while our friends are away. I fear I will be bored when I come here b/c they will all be on a stupid boat w/ some stupid boys in bands.

Has anyone ever?

Ok I am researching Dream Dinners. Has anyone ever used Dream Dinners or known anyone that has? I am looking into going there once a month and getting all of my food made and frozen but I want to know if the food is actually as yummy as it sounds. Or if it is really worth it. Financially it works out to look like it is worth it. Especially w/ 3 kids and a full time job it looks like it will make life easier.

I don't like Elmo!!

Elmo
You scored 45% Organization, 70% abstract, and 71% extroverted!
This test measured 3 variables.

First, this test measured how organized you are. Some muppets like Cookie Monster make big messes, while others like Bert are quite anal about things being clean.

Second, this test measured if you prefer a concrete or an abstract viewpoint. For the purposes of this test, concrete people are considered to gravitate more to mathematical and logical approaches, whereas abstract people are more the dreamers and artistic type.

Third, this test measured if you are more of an introvert or an extrovert. By definition, an introvert concentrates more on herself and an extrovert focuses more on others. In this test an introvert was somebody that either tends to spend more time alone or thinks more about herself.

You are mostly organized, more abstract, and more extroverted.

Most people either love or hate Elmo. I hope you love Elmo, because that's who you are.

You are both somewhat organized. You have a good idea where you put things and you probably keep your place reasonably clean. You aren't totally obsessed with neatness though. Elmo has the same basic approach. His place is pretty tidy, but he doesn't spend all of his time cleaning it up.

You both are abstract thinkers. You definitely are not afraid to take chances in life. You only live once. You may notice others around you playing it safe, but you are more concerned with not compromising your desires, and getting everything you can out of life. This is a very romantic approach to life, but hopefully you are also grounded enough to get by. Elmo's whole life is based on fantasy and his imagination. In the beginning he was a regular character, but now he spends most of his time in this fantasy world.

You are both extroverts. Elmo likes to talk talk talk. He'll talk with people, goldfish, tables, whatever. Without interaction with others he gets very sad. You definitely enjoy the company of others, and you don't have problems meeting new people... in fact you probably look forward to it. You are willing to take charge when necessary or work as part of a team.

The other possible characters are
Oscar the Grouch
Big Bird
Cookie Monster
Ernie
Snuffleupagus
Kermit the Frog
Grover
The Count
Guy Smiley
Bert

If you enjoyed this test, I would love the feedback! Also if you want to tell me your favorite Sesame Street character, I can total them up and post them here. Perhaps your choice will win!

In other news we are doing good! Heard the heartbeat again the other day and things seem to be progressing normally. We have an ultrasound at the end of the month. We will not be finding out what the baby is this time. We decided it was more fun not knowing than knowing. I really enjoyed hearing the dr. say "It's a boy" w/ DJ. So that is our final decision. I am going w/ DJ though he is fully confident that he is having a baby girl. Of course I am starting to think it is because he already has a boy so that is why he is having a girl.

So I had this big thing written but I don't know how public I want it and I am not a 100% on other people not reading this so I got rid of it. It was a bunch of questions on how to deal w/ a situation I can't stop thinking about. Oh well I'm off!!

He thinks he can walk!! So he is pulling himself up on the couch and walking along the couch then he sees his brother and turns lets go of the couch and falls flat on his face. I tried to tell him that he can't walk and he looked me in the eye and babbled something. I swear it was "I really want to walk Mommy!" The other boy is a genius. We were listening to KIT and it "I hope tomorrow is like today" came on and he said this isn't Guster singing.

So I used to complain about my boss all of the time b/c she drove me crazy. Well we got a new boss in Aug. and she is great! Today she came in for a bit left b/c she had planned on staying home and cleaning her house, then she came back around 3:30 and started to clean off all of the cars in the parking lot. When she was done that she then shoveled around all of our cars so we would be able to get out when we left!! Are you kidding my old boss didn't even care if we got home!? I love her and am so much happier at work now. If only I could get that raise to make work worthwhile because right now it really isn't too much of a help.

Camping!

Camping was good we came in second in the site decorating contest and got $75 towards camping again!! We had torrential downpours Friday night right after we set up the tent. The girls hated it thank god DJ was w/ Jason at the store so he didn't have to be there when the tent almost collapsed on us from the wind. DJ asked when we would go camping again. I think we will go Labor Day weekend, w/ just us this time. We loved going w/ our friends but they can't go again this year they already took a week off from work in June and then this weekend.
Work is stinky w/ my new boss not being as accomodating or reasonable than the other boss we had. Which is sad b/c she is supposed to be better!
